Instructions to Charge a CT-3D Nitrogen Vapor Shipper Tank for Use
For Maximum Hold Time this is how to prepare a vapor shipping tank for use:
1. Start the charging procedure the in the morning of the day before you are planning to ship the tank. Leave the empty canister in the tank to pre-cool it. Read and observe the Liquid Nitrogen Tank Safety Instructions before you start this procedure
2. Fill the shipper tank with LN2 to the bottom of neck of the tank. Do not overfill and do not spill the LN2 on the mouth of the tank or it can break the seal and ruin the vacuum. Be sure to reinsert the neck plug back into the neck to prevent moisture from condensing inside the tank's neck.
3. Refill the tank back up to the bottom of the neck around lunch time.
4. Refill again to the bottom of the neck before you go home for the day.
5. The next day before shipping pour all the liquid nitrogen out of the tank. The hydrophobic material inside the tank that absorbs the LN2 now is fully charged. Do not turn the tank upside down and shake it as it will remove some of the LN2 from the absorbent material and shorten holding time.
6. Put the items to be shipped in the pre-cooled canister and secure the top with a lock or twist tie and you are ready to ship your tank.
